Frequently Asked Questions

Your questions answered.

We want you to be 100% confident that Super Fun Trampolines are the very best; and that you know how to properly maintain and safely use your Super Fun trampoline.

So, if you have a question, just ask!

Send an email to Super Fun Sam, our very own trampoline techspert - an expert in the technology, construction, assembly, maintenance, and safe use of Super Fun Trampolines – at superfunsammy@yahoo.com.

Below, Sam has answered some common questions.

Super Fun Trampoline frames are made with "12 gauge galvanized steel"? What does that mean?
The gauge of a steel product represents its thickness and strength. When comparing, note that the lower the number, the higher the strength. For example, the 12 gauge steel that we use is much stronger than 15 gauge steel, giving Super Fun trampolines a structural load capacity of 1500 pounds. “Galvanized” means that the steel has been chemically treated with zinc to make it rust proof.

Super Fun Trampoline jumping mats are made from Permatron® non-calendared fabric. What is this?
Permatron® is the highest quality trampoline fabric available. It is a woven fabric made from polypropylene and carbon, giving it excellent UV protection and resistance to mildew and water. The fibres are thermally interlocked to provide a smoother surface that can withstand constant flexing and stress. It does not stretch but rather, cushions joints while provide a firm and stable surface that always returns to its flat position. Due to its durability and strength, Permatron® trampoline fabric performs in the harshest environmental conditions, even serving as barriers during hurricanes. It is manufactured in an ISO-certified facility, guaranteeing the highest quality fabric on the market.

Regarding calendared vs. non-calendared mesh, in the last stage of production, calendared mesh is run through two hot rollers which melts the materials and gives it a very smooth and glossy appearance. Non-calendared mesh skips this step. At Super Fun Trampolines, we believe that non-calendared mess is the safer option as it provides more traction, particularly if the mat is wet.

Can you tell me more about how your mats are constructed?
Super Fun Trampolines uses high quality materials in all aspects of mat construction. We use a UV resistant polyester thread for long lasting strength in all stitching. We have a total of 10 rows of stitching around the circumference of the trampoline. We have two layers of 2” solution dyed (holds color longer) strapping that is sewn on the top and bottom of the outer edge. This prevents fraying and strengthens the mat considerably. The V-rings or triangles are much thicker than the standard. This prevents them from pulling apart when considerable weight is applied. The V-rings are attached to the trampoline bed with 2” seatbelt material which is designed for prolonged use and is very UV resistant.

How do we winterize our trampoline?
Super Fun Trampolines are made to be outside year round. If you live in an area where there is a lot of snow, it’s best not to let the snow pile up on the trampoline. Snow can get very heavy and may stretch the springs if left unattended. You can just use a broom to sweep the snow off the mat. If you get a lot of snow, and don’t want to bother with the sweeping, we recommend taking the mat/pads/springs in for the winter (the frame can stay outside).

Do you sell a weather cover?
Super Fun does not sell weather covers as they can actually do more damage than good. The weather covers will hold any rain or snow as there is no drainage with a cover. Since both rain and snow can get very heavy, you run the risk of stretching your springs, which will then need to be replaced. If you want to keep the trampoline dry/clean in the winter, we recommend taking the mat/pads/springs in for the season.

Do you sell trampoline frame parts?
We do sell frame parts for all Super Fun Trampolines. Super Fun frame parts should not be used on any other brand of trampoline as different brands of frames are not compatible with each.
